An inverter is one of the most crucial parts of a solar power system or Backup applications. The inverter converts the energy output from DC into a usable electricity form, to be utilized in your home or workplace. Off-Grid and Hybrid Inverters are used in isolated or interconnected systems where the inverter draws its DC energy from batteries charged by photovoltaic arrays or from the AC Source. A MPPT Charger Controller, or maximum power point tracker is an electronic DC to DC converter that optimizes the match between the solar array (PV panels), and the battery bank or utility grid. To put it simply, they convert a higher voltage DC output from solar panels (and a few wind generators) down to the lower voltage needed to charge batteries.
A PV combiner box is an electrical distribution box that houses DC breakers. Its main purpose is to combine multiple DC inputs from the PV modules in the system into a single DC output. This output is then connected to a charge controller or inverter, depending on the type of system.
Battery storage systems keep electricity generated from renewable energy sources available until it is needed. Integrated battery management increases battery performance. Special settings, such as for monitoring the charging voltage or the end-of-discharge voltage, ensure perfect utilization.
